    Primary Function:
    The Government Relations Manager will be responsible for establishing government support for Operation Warm through appropriations and procurement processes. They will develop and implement effective outreach strategies for bringing Operation Warm to the attention of policymakers including legislators, administration and agency officials. This person will be an integral part of the fundraising team and will coordinate the external and internal resources necessary to build and achieve robust government support for Operation Warm programs in select states. 

    Job Type: Full-time

    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for entire life cycle of government relations from strategy, research, contact, cultivation, proposal/grant, and program management
    • Work with and direct government affairs consultants in support of campaign activities as needed
    • Work with Operation Warm program and communications staff to translate program data into accessible written materials for distribution to government officials and other stakeholders at the state levels
    • Direct the Operation Warm Program implementation team to fulfill programmatic requirements
    • Contribute to annual budgeting and planning efforts, and assist with monthly forecasting
    • Ensure Salesforce Database is updated to keep accurate donation records and ensure donors/funders are promptly and appropriately recognized for their support


    Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements:

    • 5+ years of developing and managing comprehensive development programs specifically through government relations
    • Experience with a national non-profit preferred
    • Experience in preparing, presenting to an executive audience
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Detail oriented with well-developed management and organization skills
    • Expertise with Microsoft Office products
    • Salesforce or other CRM experience required


    Direct/Supervision of Others

    • This position will direct no Operation Warm staff


    Direct/Supervision Received

    • The position will report to the Executive Director


    Special Requirements:

    • Ability to travel nationally as needed

    • While the preference is that this position works from the Glen Mills, PA office, this can be a remote position.

    Position Summary

    The Associate Director Account Management will be responsible for maintaining and growing funding from retained corporate partners and community organizations that support the organization and mission. Initially, this position will focus on managing accounts but within 6-12 months will also include team leadership and direction.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Partner Related

    • Work with assigned partners to renew and expand current funding levels to meet and exceed individual and organizational fundraising goals by providing exceptional customer service and timely and impactful stewardship.
    • Facilitate the onboarding of new partnerships that come directly to account management due to size or type of organization.
    • Utilize approved presentation templates and messaging. Create and deliver formal and informal presentations to existing partners in small and large environments (both in-person and virtual). 
    • Assist partners with program planning and execution, in coordination with Program Implementation and Partner Support. Train partners on how to access and utilize tools on our partner portal, assist with order configuration and placement, work to eliminate receivables, and answer partner questions as needed. 
    • Collaborate with Operation Warm departments (Partner Development, Marketing, Program Implementation, Partner Support, Accounting) to ensure seamless program execution and drive partner growth. Keep “need to know” colleagues appraised of developments. 
    • Act as knowledge point and remain abreast of all current partner and team activities. 
    • Maintain all relevant partner records in Salesforce utilizing the company’s and departments sales administration processes. Utilize exception reports to flag and correct data entry errors.
    • Ensure accurate donation forecasting on an ongoing/monthly basis utilizing the company’s Salesforce driven forecasting system. 
    • Represent Operation Warm at in-person and virtual conferences and networking events.  
    • Attend (occasionally lead) and participate in Operation Warm in-person events.

    • Demonstrates strong industry experience and market understanding
    • Contributes to the strategic vision with proven ability to implement programmatic changes
    • Works independently and collaboratively, with maturity and confidence
    • Demonstrates good judgement and ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic setting
    • Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong presentation skills, handles high level client relationships and stakeholder interactions with minimal guidance.
    • Prioritizes objectives and implements strategies to achieve company initiatives, not losing sight of both immediate and longer-duration projects
    • Compiles data, analyzes, collaborates, and makes actionable recommendations, to drive cross-business corporate prioritization
    • Uses discretion and independent judgment with significant matters within the department
    • Has a solid financial understanding, with ability to prepare and manage budgets
    • Is a recognized leader that directly and indirectly manages staff, with the goal of enhancing professional development and personal growth
    • Works with integrity and high ethical standards

    Qualifications

    • BA or BS undergraduate degree
    • 4+ years account management or donor/client facing experience
    • National non profit experience preferred
    • Up to date Covid-19 vaccinations are required
    • Must be available to travel nationally up to 20%
    • Salesforce experience required
    • Expertise with Microsoft Office
    • Spanish language proficiency is preferred

    Primary Function: 

    To secure affiliate marketing opportunities that help raise awareness and donations for Operation Warm with high profile retail brands that offer consumers the option of donating points, rewards, or dollars to an affiliated nonprofit.

    • Research brands and provide a strategic target list.
    • Make initial contact with brands to gather requirements for affiliate partnership.
    • Gather and submit applications to relevant brands.
    • Create a list of long-term targets that have more complex requirements.

    Timeline: Affiliations and guidance secured by June 15.

  • Skilled Volunteer: ESG Consultant

    About Our Volunteer Positions:

    Primary Function: 

    Operation Warm is looking for an experienced Environmental, Social and Governance expert to help us improve our processes and policies.

    Responsibilities for ESG Consultant: 

    • Review existing ESG initiatives
    • Establish reasonable 3-year goals
    • Perform life-cycle analysis
    • Make recommendations for improvements

    Qualifications: 

    • 5-10 years' experience in ESG in the apparel industry
    • Experience with non-profit a plus

    Timeline:

    We request that volunteers make a 5 – 10-hour commitment to this project. Operation Warm will share an initial overview of our project requirements. A series of three meetings will be scheduled. Project should be completed by June 30.

  • Skilled Volunteer: Coat Design Consultant

    About Us:

    About our Volunteer Positions:

    Primary Function: 

    To provide Operation Warm with trending color pantones and combinations in both the adult and children’s outerwear market. Our coats are changed annually to keep up with current trends and styles. This consultation should be based off working expertise and knowledge of current retail trends in children’s wear and outdoor wear.

    -       Please provide a PowerPoint presentation, displaying the selected pantone colors.

    -       Selections should be categorized on separate slides for Boys, Girls, children’s Unisex, Women's, Men's and adult Unisex.

    -       Please provide up to 10 trending colors per category. Please focus on primary colors, avoiding any neon.

    -       Production is limited to two colors per coat, please provide an additional slide with two pantones that might match well together. A neutral color may be used for matching (gray, black, etc.).

    -       Please be sure to include the PMS, TCX, or pantone number for our reference.

    -       Please provide a few styles, images, or features to the coat that might fit well for your color selections.
     

    Timeline:  Color selections and guidance due back to Operation Warm by June 15.

  • Skilled Volunteer: Staff Development Trainer

    Primary Function: 

    Operation Warm is looking for experienced trainers to provide staff development training. We are a national non-profit with 30 staff members. Our staff are exceptional in their commitment to our mission. We are looking for professional trainers to help us develop our staff.


    Topics for training:

    ·      Effective communication skills

    ·      Negotiation

    ·      Conflict resolution


    Qualifications:

    ·      Expertise in corporate/organizational training in areas mentioned above

    ·      Experience working with a non-profit is a plus

     

    Timeline:  We request that volunteers make a 3-5 hour commitment to this project. Training sessions are 1 – 1.5 hours and delivered via video conferencing tools. An additional session with the OW Executive Team is required to discuss content and approach.
