    OUR MISSION

    Operation Warm is a national nonprofit that provides warmth, confidence, and hope to children in need through basic need programs that connect underserved families to community resources they need to thrive.  Over the last 22 years, Operation Warm and our partners have used brand-new coats and shoes as a bridge for families in need to access everything from flu shots to new books. 

     

    We are seeking innovative, driven, and compassionate individuals who are motivated to impact the lives of children in need to join our growing team.  Strong candidates will share our commitment to inspire and empower local communities to support underserved children by using the gift of a coat or a pair of shoes as a catalyst for connection.

    PRIMARY FUNCTION:

    Responsible for the development and cultivation of Foundation Partners and Individual Donors.    

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Responsible for entire life cycle of foundation funding from research, contact, cultivation, production and completion of grant requests

    Responsible for the development and cultivation of individual donors

    Benchmark foundation funding and individual giving and work with manager to set goals

    Lead grants team to meet/exceed established goals

    Support the grant writing needs of the IT, Operations & Partnerships Teams

    Collaborate with OW teams to innovate programs that funders and donors are interested in supporting

    Work with Accounting and Marketing to develop materials and tools needed for grant writing, i.e. grant workbook, impact materials

    Work closely with the Marketing team on the planning and execution of the Individual Donor digital, email and direct mail campaigns

    Evaluate new logic models including statistical means to evaluate outputs and outcomes, and expanding our survey collection methodology to inform our programmatic decision making.

    Ensure that grants meet company standards and include language that will maximize grant funding potential. 

    Work with the grants team and program services to ensure that grant commitments are fulfilled and final reports submitted

    Contribute to annual budgeting and planning efforts, and assist with monthly forecasting 

    Anticipate analysis needs to ensure data is captured in Salesforce and that all records are maintained to keep accurate donation records and ensure donors/funders are promptly and appropriately recognized for their support

    Appropriately steward all funders and donors

    Work to develop meaningful relationships with high-level donors

    Develop and manage relationships with executive team through planning sessions and by providing regular updates

     

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

    8+ years of developing strong donor relationships and managing comprehensive development programs specifically through granting.

    Proven experience managing both directly and indirectly through influence and alignment

    Self-motivation and an ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

    Experience in preparing, presenting to an executive audience

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Detail oriented with well-developed management and organization skills

    Exceptional project management skills

    Demonstrated ability to work well with a team

    Must be flexible and adaptable

    Ability to think on your feet and problem solve in real-time

    Positive Attitude

    Expertise with Microsoft Office products

    Salesforce or other CRM experience required

    Passion for the mission and vision.

    Credentials in major and planned gift fundraising is a plus, not required

     

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    BA or BS undergraduate degree, 5+ years not-for-profit management/fundraising and grant writing experience

     

    SUPERVISION OF OTHERS

    This position will direct two grant team members

     

    SUPERVISION RECEIVED

    The position will report to the Executive Director

     

    SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Ability to travel within the U.S. and Canada as needed

    The position is located in Glen Mills, PA

  • Skilled Volunteer: CRM & Data Volunteer

    About Us:

    Primary Function: 

    Salesforce is our CRM tool. Pardot is our marketing automation tool.  These systems allow us to  manage donors, partners, inventory and communication across two platforms.  Like most organizations, we have the opportunity to improve the integrity of the information and data in our system.  Volunteers will:  

    ·      Be given access to data sets from Salesforce or Pardot

    ·      Help to clean data

    ·      Submit the clean data to Operation Warm staff person
     

    Timeline:  We request that volunteers make a minimum 10 hour commitment to this project. Operation Warm will share an initial overview to Salesforce system during an introduction call. A weekly volunteer check in call will be scheduled. Project should be completed by May 31.

    **Prior experience with Excel is required.

  • Skilled Volunteer: Customer Service Consultant

    About Us:

    About our Volunteer Positions:

    Primary Function: 

    Operation Warm is looking for an experienced Customer Service expert to help us improve our processes to better support our donors.
     

    Deliverables for Customer Service Consultant:

    ·       Review results of last year’s customer service analysis

    ·       Review customer service processes

    ·       Make recommendations for improvements
     

    Qualifications:

    ·       5-10 years experience in customer service

    ·       Experience with non-profit a plus
     

    Timeline:  We request that volunteers make a minimum 5 hour commitment to this project. Operation Warm will share an initial overview of our project requirements. A weekly volunteer check in call will be scheduled. Project should be completed by April 30.

  • Skilled Volunteer: Google Analytics

    Operation Warm is looking for a Google Analytics expert to review and consult on our Analytics setup.


    Deliverables for Google Analytics Consultant:

    ·       Review integration of Google Analytics to Salesforce Communities website

    ·       Ensure that analytics are being correctly captured

    ·       Advise on recommendations


    Qualifications:

    ·       5 years experience in Google Analytics

    ·       Experience with non-profit a plus

     

    Timeline:  We request that volunteers make a minimum 5 hour commitment to this project. Operation Warm will share an initial overview of our project requirements. A weekly volunteer check in call will be scheduled. Project should be completed by April 30.

  • Skilled Volunteer: Public Policy Analytics Consultant

    Primary Function: 

    Operation Warm is looking for a Public Policy Analytics Consultant to analyze our impact in United States Congressional Districts and state legislative districts.
     

    Deliverables for Public Policy Analytics Consultant:

    • The Public Policy Consultant will provide analysis and written recommendations identifying the districts where we have the most impact
    • Provide recommendations for outreach
       

    Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of political districts
    • Access to software for analysis
    • Comfortable with handling raw data in excel
       

    Timeline:  We request that volunteers make a minimum 5 hour commitment to this project. Operation Warm will share an initial overview of our project requirements. A weekly volunteer check in call will be scheduled. Project should be completed by May 14.
