Event Coordinator – Seasonal
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Seasonal Event Coordinator is responsible for the project management and successful execution of events for Operation Warm’s corporate, community, and grant funders. Areas of accountability include funder and beneficiary management, coordination of event logistics, and flawless execution of coat/shoe gifting events. Strong problem-solving skills and creativity, as well as enthusiasm for our mission is integral to this position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute comprehensive project plans that adhere to timelines, program requirements, and funder expectations.
- Plan, coordinate, and act as day of lead for in-person and/or hybrid events, facilitating run of show, technological needs, and event organization.
- Maintain proactive communication with program stakeholders – beneficiaries, funders, and internal teams.
- Promote a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which ensures that we meet Operation Warm’s mission.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Previous event planning experience required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with Microsoft Office – Salesforce, Give Lively, Asana a plus
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- This position currently is subject to a COVID-19 vaccination requirement, subject to applicable law.
- Ability to travel both locally and nationally, up to 70% from September through December.
- Sitting or standing for extended periods of time as well as walking, bending, and lifting of light loads up to 25 pounds during event set-up and implementation
JOB TYPE:
- 6-month Full-time Contract from September 12 to February 10.
- Base pay range $15/hr. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

Skilled Volunteer: Affiliate Marketing Consultant

Over the last 23 years, Operation Warm and our partners have used the gifts of brand-new coats and shoes as a bridge for families in need to access everything from flu shots to new books.

Primary Function:
To secure affiliate marketing opportunities that help raise awareness and donations for Operation Warm with high profile retail brands that offer consumers the option of donating points, rewards, or dollars to an affiliated nonprofit.
- Research brands and provide a strategic target list.
- Make initial contact with brands to gather requirements for affiliate partnership.
- Gather and submit applications to relevant brands.
- Create a list of long-term targets that have more complex requirements.
Timeline: Affiliations and guidance secured by June 15.

Skilled Volunteer: Staff Development Trainer

Primary Function:Operation Warm is looking for experienced trainers to provide staff development training. We are a national non-profit with 30 staff members. Our staff are exceptional in their commitment to our mission. We are looking for professional trainers to help us develop our staff.
Topics for training:· Effective communication skills
· Negotiation
· Conflict resolution
Qualifications:· Expertise in corporate/organizational training in areas mentioned above
· Experience working with a non-profit is a plus
Timeline: We request that volunteers make a 3-5 hour commitment to this project. Training sessions are 1 – 1.5 hours and delivered via video conferencing tools. An additional session with the OW Executive Team is required to discuss content and approach.
