Why is putting coats on children important?
One of the most requested item by schools and other organizations, serving underprivileged children, is a winter coat. It obviously keeps them warm, but it also encourages school attendance and many of these children get their only substantial meals of the day through their school meal programs.
How does my donation help?
90% of every dollar given to Operation Warm goes to the program – helping put a new winter coat on a child in need.

How does Operation Warm operate?
Operation Warm partners with community, civic and other nonprofit organizations to raise funds, run programs, and distribute coats in various parts of the country. Its donor base consists of individuals, corporations, small businesses and others who may suggest an organization with access to children that they want to support. In most cases, Operation Warm has programs in place to reach children in need.

How can local organizations work with Operation Warm?
Many local civic and community organizations have opted to initiate coat programs, raise funds, purchase subsidized coats from Operation Warm and distribute them to approved groups with children in need. Coat programs are run collaboratively with Operation Warm.
Can we buy coats from Operation Warm to distribute to children?
If you are a nonprofit willing to collaborate with us on programs that extend Beyond Warmth, we will work to provide you with subsidized, new coats to distribute to children in your community who would otherwise not have the means.

Operation Warm recently celebrated its tenth anniversary and, during that time, it has provided over 600,000 coats to children.
