Why is putting coats on children important?
One of the most requested item by schools and other organizations, serving underprivileged children, is a winter coat. It obviously keeps them warm, but it also encourages school attendance and many of these children get their only substantial meals of the day through their school meal programs.
How does my donation help?
90% of every dollar given to Operation Warm goes to the program – helping put a new winter coat on a child in need.

How does Operation Warm operate?
Operation Warm partners with community, civic and other nonprofit organizations to raise funds and distribute coats in various parts of the country. Its donor base consists of individuals, corporations, small businesses and others who often designate an organization they want to support or let Operation Warm help provide coats to children in need.
Can I get coats for a nonprofit organization where I live?
If you are interested in working with Operation Warm to launch a coat project in your community, contact us and we will be glad to work with you.
How can local organizations work with Operation Warm?
Many local civic and community organizations have opted to initiate coat programs, they raise funds, purchase coats from Operation Warm and distribute them to groups that they have selected to support. New coats are supplied in the sizes they require.
Can we buy coats from Operation Warm to distribute to children?
If you are a nonprofit and supply us with your tax ID number, you can purchase new coats to distribute to children in your community who would otherwise not have the means.
Where does Operation Warm work?
We work in parts of the country where we have community partners and donors who want to support specific groups. Contact us, and we will work with you.
How long has Operation Warm been operating?
Operation Warm just celebrated its tenth anniversary and, during that time, it has provided over 500,000 coats to children.
