Volunteer Information for Coat Giving Events
We want to share the joy of an event with you, and we need your help to deliver a gift of warmth, confidence and hope to more children in need. Schedule your call.
Operation Warm’s Coat Giving Events are uplifting and joyful. They are funded by donations from corporations who provide funding for brand new winter coats and also give their local employees the opportunity to distribute those coats.
When Are Volunteer Opportunities Available?
Coat Giving Events are held on weekday mornings at a local elementary school during the months of October, November and December. This year, we expect to hold at least three Coat Giving Events in each of our Volunteer Brigade cities.
What Does an Operation Warm Volunteer Do?
As a volunteer, you will help ensure that our Coat Giving Events are successful by:
- Helping Operation Warm create a meaningful experience for our funding corporation’s employees.
- Working with school administrators to create a fun-filled event that serves every child
- Making a positive impact on the students, teachers and funding corporation’s employees.
Will I Receive Volunteer Training?
Operation Warm’s volunteer managers will provide approximately two hours of interactive online training to ensure your volunteer experience is not only fun but truly impactful.
