Employee Volunteer Program

Program Overview

Employee volunteer programs are an investment in your team and brand reputation.

Operation Warm provides a full service employee volunteer package that provides your employees an opportunity to have a meaningful impact in the life of a child and positively contribute to the local community.

Operation Warm’s coat giving events are a joyful and memorable experience for every volunteer and child.

“74% of employees say their job is more fulfilling when they are provided with opportunities to make a positive impact on social and environmental issues.”
-2016 Cone Communications Employee Engagement Study

"This was the best day of work I've ever had"

Hollister Co. + Operation Warm Volunteer Coat Event
“The environment is absolutely positive. Having that many volunteers not only expedited the process, but having such large groups of children, it made each of them feel so special to have that one on one attention. I look forward to future partnerships!”
-Kiersten Ott, Mott Haven Academy Charter School

Why New Winter Coats?

For your employees…

  1. A positive environment – coat giving events are joyful and fun
  2. Long lasting impact – this donation will improve a child’s life for the entire winter season

For the children...

Giving a child something brand new creates a sense of pride in ownership that fosters self-confidence in children who may feel insecure.

The #1 way to break the cycle of poverty is through education. New coats help children attend school more often on cold and rainy days.

It's hard to play outside, make snow angels, or build snowmen without a warm coat. All children should have a chance to keep active year-round.

Employee Volunteer Roles

  1. Volunteer Coordinators (pre-event) – Operation Warm’s experienced staff will work with your volunteer coordintors to create a customized event that is easy for your staff to contribute and enjoy
  2. Volunteers (during event) – prepare space, help children select coats, write child’s name inside coat, organize photography opportunities, event clean-up/breakdown
