  • Associate Director of Development, Grants

     Operation Warm is a nationally active non-profit organization providing brand new winter coats to children in need. For a child, a new winter coat can be #morethanacoat— it can inspire pride and joy within a child, while also helping them get to school and play outside on cold winter days. We believe that a new winter coat tells a child “You’re worth it.”

    The Associate Director of Development, Grants is responsible for managing our grant team and ensuring the full range of activities required to prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals to foundation, government and corporate sources. This experienced fundraising professional will not only enhance our current grant portfolio, but seek to increase funding to further impact our mission.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage the Grant team. Establish goals, meet regularly to ensure goals are met, and review prepared grants prior to submission to ensure they meet company standards.
    • Analyze current grant portfolio to determine strengths, opportunities, threats, weaknesses.
    • Research and prospect new grants and foundation opportunities.
    • Write and submit grant applications, LOIs and program proposals.
    • Be innovative with grant writing to meet needs of organization.
    • Maintain a useful schedule of grants and ensure that deadlines are not missed.
    • With an understanding of specific funders interests, develop programs that meet those interests while furthering our mission. Coordinate Operation Warm implementation of those programs.
    • Work with grant team to ensure that commitments are fulfilled for all grants received, including coat programs, stewardship and other reporting requirements.
    • Work collaboratively with entire team to identify opportunities to leverage grant funding to attract new donation revenue through new partners or matching programs.
    • Keep track of progress against goals, regularly report to management on progress and annual forecasts, and provide early warnings to management of potential shortfalls.
    • Develop relationships with grant and foundations funders as appropriate.

    Qualifications:

    • BA or BS Undergraduate Degree
    • 5 + years of Development/Fundraising/Grant Writing or Management experience
    • Highly motivated individual with proven track record of increased organizational funding through grant writing
    • Excellent written communication skills, along with highly effective oral communications and presentation skills; 2+ years professional writing experience preferred
    • Ability to multi task and manage both short and long term goals
    • Knowledge of with Foundation Search and Salesforce CRM preferred
    • Willing and able to travel to meet funders, establish relationships and attend events

  • Manager of Community Partnerships

Growing non-profit Operation Warm is seeking a proven business development professional to expand existing relationships and seek out new community partners across the country.

    Operation Warm is a nationally active non-profit organization providing brand new winter coats to children in need. We believe that a new winter coat tells a child “You’re worth it.”

    The Partnership Manager is already engaged in the community and has proven abilities in developing relationships, communications, and fundraising. This successful professional will build and maintain relationships with current clients and prospect for new partnerships. Experience developing trust-based relationships, building a strong pipeline to maximize opportunities, networking, and delivering formal presentations in both small and large-scale environments is required.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop trust-based relationships with partners while maximizing business opportunities
    • Ability to identify, attract and develop partners to further expand our impact
    • Build a strong pipeline to maximize opportunities and achieve mission growth goals
    • Exceptional client management and development, including calls, e-mails, and in-person meetings
    • Thoughtfully manage existing partners & expand current programs
    • Deliver formal presentations to existing and prospective clients in both small and large-scale environments (public speaking and travel required)
    • Represent Operation Warm at conferences and networking events
    • Maintain leads, client records and track campaign progress
    • Exercise discretion and independent judgement
    • Work closely with internal teams (marketing, event, finance) in order to reach organizational goals

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree Required
    • 3+ years relevant work experience
    • Proven track record of developing and maintaining strong client base
    • Strong collaborative skills

    • Exceptional communication skills are a must (both verbal and written)

  • Partnerships Manager (Account Executive) - remote, Seattle

    Skills: Account Executive, Account Manager, Corporate Social Responsibility, Business Development, Customer Service.

    We are seeking a proven business development professional to add new corporate partners and expand existing relationships in the Pacific Northwest. The work is primarily focused on the corporate sector, and success will be measured by the ability to identify, attract and develop partners for cause marketing campaigns and our employee volunteer program. This successful professional will build and maintain relationships with potential clients to prospect for new partnerships, deliver formal presentations to existing and prospective partners in small and large scale environments, and represent Operation Warm at conferences and networking events and with community organizations.

    The Partnerships Manager will be responsible for identifying new corporate sponsors with shared values to secure creative long-term relationships. This position requires building a strong pipeline to maximize opportunities and achieving mission growth goals. The Partnerships Manager must develop trust based client relations and maintain dialogue and understand our partner’s needs. Additionally, the manager will work with existing clients to acquire new accounts and expand current programs.

    The Partnerships Manager will have existing corporate relationships at the executive level with proven abilities in developing relationships, communications, and fundraising. This professional must exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance, work closely with internal teams to support coat-giving events, and coordinate with Operation Warm departments (marketing, events, finance) to ensure the execution of all obligations to our partners and drive program growth and success.

    This position will direct volunteers at events, in conjunction with the account support team and other Operation Warm staff. They may also help manage interns and onboard future Partner Development staff. Experience with forecasting and Salesforce CRM preferred, to maintain leads and client records, track campaign needs and progress.

    Position located in Seattle, WA or Pacific Northwest area. Background checks performed. This is a remote position and will report to the organization headquarters in Pennsylvania.

  • Marketing Intern (ongoing)

    The Operation Warm marketing internship program is designed to give opportunity to the best and the brightest students who are interested in making a difference in the lives of children, families and communities. In this role you will immerse yourself into the nonprofit culture, working side by side with innovative and talented Operation Warm team members and their partners. You will cultivate meaningful relationships and develop strong interpersonal and business skills that will set you apart from your peers.

    Additionally, your experience will include:

    • Engagement: Working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various departments and teams at Operation Warm.
    • Exposure: An inside look into the day-to-day operations of a nonprofit organization that thinks a little differently.

  • Corporate Partnerships Intern (ongoing)

    Operation Warm is a national non-profit organization with a simple mission – to provide brand new coats to children in need across the United States. Operation Warm has reached nearly 2 million children since inception in 1998. We are seeking a mature intern to join our team as a Corporate Partnerships Intern in our Chadds Ford, PA office this fall.

    The Corporate Partnerships intern will support the Corporate Partnerships & Cause Marketing team as they develop and nurture relationships with the program sponsors. The position requires good writing skills, and an interest in non-profit fundraising/sales.

    Responsibilities:

    • On a daily basis interns will read the news and compile relevant articles about current and potential partners
    •  Build and help manage the partnerships pipeline
    • Help develop partner specific presentations
    • Monitor media for potential spokespeople and help reach out to them in a timely fashion

    Requirements/Qualifications:

    • Minimum 2 day commitment per week
    • Highly collaborative, proactive and positive work style with a follow-through attitude.
    • Analytical and forward thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Independent worker
