  • Senior Accountant

    Do you want to be part of a non-profit team, while maintaining the challenging dynamic environment of corporate America? Are you an operations-focused, team-oriented accounting professional?

    Successful candidate will be organized and detail-oriented, with experience in all aspects of financial operations in a high volume, paperless environment, including billing, receivables, payables, and expense reports. Experience with capturing information flow from integrated systems (e.g. Salesforce, Classy, QuickBooks Online, and other systems), analyzing and reporting information by business area required.

    Skills: Performs accounting, analysis, and reporting functions and contributes to the internal control environment. Supports forecasting and budgeting. Evaluates and makes recommendations to improve internal processes and controls.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Candidate must be prepared to demonstrate previous experience with the month-end close process and familiarity of all reconciliations
    • Prepare adjusting journal entries and investigate differences that arise between IT systems and the general ledger
    • Prepare and deliver timely, accurate, and complete financial reporting
    • Monthly, quarterly, and annual close including reconciliations
    • Team player, strong leadership and comradery
    • Must be highly organized with attention to detail
    • Mentor and coach other members of the team to have success in their roles, as may be applicable
    • Must be someone the team can count on to solve difficult problems
    • Regular and proficient use of Microsoft Office, including Excel
    • Knowledge of various software programs preferred, including QuickBooks,, and Salesforce

    We have a relatively small, growing team of about 25. During busy season, we are all hands-on deck. That is, in addition to accounting related assignments, the successful candidate must be hands on and willing to perform various operational activities, such as order support, campaign donation tracking, accounting credit approval, reconciliation, and reporting.

    The individual must show strong attention to detail to ensure data completeness and accuracy. Work must be appropriately organized and documented. This position requires the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects. Excellent communication skills, presentation and interpersonal skills are required. Ability to work collaboratively and develop productive working relationships across operational and sales and marketing team members.

    Must exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance, work closely with internal teams and coordinate with Operation Warm departments (marketing, events, finance) to help drive program growth, efficiency, and success. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.

    Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in accounting. 4 years of experience, including public accounting and industry. CPA or CPA candidate. Prior non-profit experience is not required.

    Operation Warm is a nationally active non-profit organization providing new winter coats to children in need. We believe that a winter coat promotes self-esteem and helps children get to school and play outside even on the coldest days. Operation Warm coats are manufactured to our specifications and are available in multiple styles and colors. We will serve 400,000 children this upcoming winter season and will have warmed the hearts of over 3 million children since our founding in 1998.

    Position located in Chadds Ford, PA. Background checks performed. No work at home. Some participation in Operation Warm events is expected, which requires bending, lifting, and other physical activities.

  • Marketing Intern (ongoing)

    The Operation Warm marketing internship program is designed to give opportunity to the best and the brightest students who are interested in making a difference in the lives of children, families and communities. In this role you will immerse yourself into the nonprofit culture, working side by side with innovative and talented Operation Warm team members and their partners. You will cultivate meaningful relationships and develop strong interpersonal and business skills that will set you apart from your peers.

    Additionally, your experience will include:

    • Engagement: Working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various departments and teams at Operation Warm.
    • Exposure: An inside look into the day-to-day operations of a nonprofit organization that thinks a little differently.

  • Corporate Partnerships Intern (ongoing)

    Operation Warm is a national non-profit organization with a simple mission – to provide brand new coats to children in need across the United States. Operation Warm has reached nearly 2 million children since inception in 1998. We are seeking a mature intern to join our team as a Corporate Partnerships Intern in our Chadds Ford, PA office this fall.

    The Corporate Partnerships intern will support the Corporate Partnerships & Cause Marketing team as they develop and nurture relationships with the program sponsors. The position requires good writing skills, and an interest in non-profit fundraising/sales.


    • On a daily basis interns will read the news and compile relevant articles about current and potential partners
    •  Build and help manage the partnerships pipeline
    • Help develop partner specific presentations
    • Monitor media for potential spokespeople and help reach out to them in a timely fashion


    • Minimum 2 day commitment per week

  • Project Management Intern (ongoing)

    Operation Warm is looking for an outgoing, organized and creative individual, wanting to make a difference in the world by helping others!

    We’re a national nonprofit organization with a simple mission – to provide brand new coats to children in need across the country. This spring, we are seeking an intern to join our Projects & Events team for 2 – 3 days a week.

    The Operation Warm Project Management internship will allow you to immerse yourself into the nonprofit culture, working alongside various departments and team members to give you a well-rounded experience.

    This intern will report to the Projects & Events Manager and assist both the Project Management and Marketing team to facilitate and assist in the completion of internal project requests. Projects are broad and range from research to graphic design.


    • Pursuing Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree
    • Minimum 2 day commitment per week
    • Must be able to commute to our Chadds Ford Headquarters
