  • Projects & Events Coordinator (Seasonal Contract)

    PRIMARY FUNCTION: To provide internal support through project management; to plan and facilitate Operation Warm events.

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Project Management

    • Provide project support to all departments
    • Manage project lifecycles from formation to completion
    • Respond in a timely manner (24-48 hours) to all requests with project timeline and deliverables
    • Ensure project deadlines and quality standards are met
    • Conceptualize and produce strategic projects to improve organizational processes and procedures

    Coordinate and Execute Events

    • Coordinate all corporate events and other designated OW events
    • Create or update all event materials
    • Research and vet potential beneficiaries
    • Communicate event details with partners and beneficiaries
    • Maintain regular communication with internal teams regarding event specifics
    • Ensure event features, materials, and supplies are ordered and/or packed
    • Provide pre and post event support
    • Serve as lead or support person at events
    • Participate on the event committee for any OW event

    Other

    • Help with various marketing projects involving graphics, video and content
    • Help with other special projects and duties as needed
    • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner, which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations

    DIRECTION/SUPERVISION RECEIVED: This position will report to the Manager of Projects & Events

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, or similarly related field(s).

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

    • Well-developed management and organizational skills;
    • Strong problem solving skills;
    • Excellent interpersonal skills;
    • Must be flexible and adaptable to constantly changing projects;
    • Well-developed customer relations skills;

    SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Ability to travel to both locally and nationwide
    • Ability to work nights and weekends for events

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • Ability to lift and carry 10 lbs
    • Prolong hours of sitting in front of a computer monitor

  • Marketing Intern (ongoing)

    The Operation Warm marketing internship program is designed to give opportunity to the best and the brightest students who are interested in making a difference in the lives of children, families and communities. In this role you will immerse yourself into the nonprofit culture, working side by side with innovative and talented Operation Warm team members and their partners. You will cultivate meaningful relationships and develop strong interpersonal and business skills that will set you apart from your peers.

    Additionally, your experience will include:

    • Engagement: Working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various departments and teams at Operation Warm.
    • Exposure: An inside look into the day-to-day operations of a nonprofit organization that thinks a little differently.

    • Professional Development: Exposure to a variety of professional and skill development opportunities in marketing that not only include the latest software tools, but also marketing strategy and best practices.

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from a United States-based college or university (Juniors and seniors preferred).
    • Excellent written communications skills.

    Experience and rock-star skills in at least one of the following:

    • Journalism and writing, video editing, graphic design, photo editing, social media.
    • Willingness to learn and grow alongside a fast-paced team environment.
    • Strong interest in the communications, marketing and nonprofit fields.
    • Authorized to work in the United States.

  • Corporate Partnerships Intern (ongoing)

    Operation Warm is a national non-profit organization with a simple mission – to provide brand new coats to children in need across the United States. Operation Warm has reached nearly 2 million children since inception in 1998. We are seeking a mature intern to join our team as a Corporate Partnerships Intern in our Chadds Ford, PA office this fall.

    The Corporate Partnerships intern will support the Corporate Partnerships & Cause Marketing team as they develop and nurture relationships with the program sponsors. The position requires good writing skills, and an interest in non-profit fundraising/sales.

    Responsibilities:

    • On a daily basis interns will read the news and compile relevant articles about current and potential partners
    •  Build and help manage the partnerships pipeline
    • Help develop partner specific presentations
    • Monitor media for potential spokespeople and help reach out to them in a timely fashion

    Requirements/Qualifications:

    • Minimum 2 day commitment per week
    • Highly collaborative, proactive and positive work style with a follow-through attitude.
    • Analytical and forward thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Independent worker

  • Project Management Intern (ongoing)

    Operation Warm is looking for an outgoing, organized and creative individual, wanting to make a difference in the world by helping others!

    We’re a national nonprofit organization with a simple mission – to provide brand new coats to children in need across the country. This spring, we are seeking an intern to join our Projects & Events team for 2 – 3 days a week.

    The Operation Warm Project Management internship will allow you to immerse yourself into the nonprofit culture, working alongside various departments and team members to give you a well-rounded experience.

    This intern will report to the Projects & Events Manager and assist both the Project Management and Marketing team to facilitate and assist in the completion of internal project requests. Projects are broad and range from research to graphic design.

    Qualifications:

    • Pursuing Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree
    • Minimum 2 day commitment per week
    • Must be able to commute to our Chadds Ford Headquarters

    Skills:

    • Ability to multi-task
    • Basic understanding of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign
    • Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
    • Computer savvy
    • Ability to meet deadlines
    • Works well in both team and individual environments
    • Adaptability to work on various projects
