  • Partnership Development Manager-Mountain West

    ABOUT US: Operation Warm is a nationally active non-profit organization that manufactures brand new coats and gifts them to children in need. Operation Warm was founded in 1998 to counter one of the most unfathomable hardships of childhood poverty: the lack of adequate winter clothing. Since that time, Operation Warm has provided 3 million brand new winter coats to children who live in need, thanks to our community of supporters and our strong partnerships. In 2018, we came together to bring happiness and warmth to over 400,000 children in North America.

    PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES: To lead Operation Warm’s growth by adding new corporate partners and expanding existing relationships in the Midwest. This work is primarily focused on the corporate sector, and success will be measured by the ability to identify, attract and develop partners for cause marketing campaigns and our employee volunteer program. Work closely with internal teams to support and execute coat giving events.

    EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS:

    • Contribute to the creation of territory development plan.
    • Identify and seek new partners with shared values to secure creative long-term relationships.
    • Build a strong pipeline to generate leads.
    • Work with existing clients to acquire new accounts and expand current partnerships.
    • Organize donor events.
    • Deliver formal presentations to existing and prospective partners in small and large scale environments.
    • Represent Operation Warm at conferences and networking events
    • Maintain leads and client records in Salesforce.
    • This position will direct volunteers at events in conjunction with the account support team and other Operation Warm staff. They will also help manage interns and onboard future Partner Development staff.

    EDUCATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

    • BA or BS undergraduate degree
    • More than 5 years account executive and/or client services experience
    • Experience in the non-profit sector
    • Proven record of development success
    • Results oriented
    • Relationship oriented; excellent interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently within established policies, procedures and timeframes;
    • Well-developed management and organizational skills;
    • Must be flexible and adaptable to constantly changing projects;
    • Excellent verbal and written communication;
    • Computer literacy;
    • Spanish language skill considered a bonus

    WORK REQUIREMENTS:

    • Ability to travel customarily and regularly  both locally and nationwide
    • Ability to work nights and weekends for events
    • Ability to provide own transportation with clear driving record
    • Ability to pass an in-depth background check

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • Ability to lift and carry 10 lbs.
    • Prolong hours of sitting in front of a computer monitor

  • Marketing Intern (ongoing)

    The Operation Warm marketing internship program is designed to give opportunity to the best and the brightest students who are interested in making a difference in the lives of children, families and communities. In this role you will immerse yourself into the nonprofit culture, working side by side with innovative and talented Operation Warm team members and their partners. You will cultivate meaningful relationships and develop strong interpersonal and business skills that will set you apart from your peers.

    Additionally, your experience will include:

    • Engagement: Working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various departments and teams at Operation Warm.
    • Exposure: An inside look into the day-to-day operations of a nonprofit organization that thinks a little differently.
    • Immersion: Being treated as a valuable member of the team whose contributions further our mission to bring a gift of warmth to children in need.
    • Professional Development: Exposure to a variety of professional and skill development opportunities in marketing that not only include the latest software tools, but also marketing strategy and best practices.
    • Fun: Continuously develop relationships with fellow interns and staff through social activities, community building, and networking.

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from a United States-based college or university (Juniors and seniors preferred).
    • Excellent written communications skills.
    • Strong attention to detail.

    Experience and rock-star skills in at least one of the following:

    • Journalism and writing, video editing, graphic design, photo editing, social media.
    • Willingness to learn and grow alongside a fast-paced team environment.
    • Strong interest in the communications, marketing and nonprofit fields.
    • Authorized to work in the United States.

  • Corporate Partnerships Intern (ongoing)

    Operation Warm is a national non-profit organization with a simple mission – to provide brand new coats to children in need across the United States. Operation Warm has reached nearly 2 million children since inception in 1998. We are seeking a mature intern to join our team as a Corporate Partnerships Intern in our Chadds Ford, PA office this fall.

    The Corporate Partnerships intern will support the Corporate Partnerships & Cause Marketing team as they develop and nurture relationships with the program sponsors. The position requires good writing skills, and an interest in non-profit fundraising/sales.

    Responsibilities:

    • On a daily basis interns will read the news and compile relevant articles about current and potential partners
    •  Build and help manage the partnerships pipeline
    • Help develop partner specific presentations
    • Monitor media for potential spokespeople and help reach out to them in a timely fashion

    Requirements/Qualifications:

    • Minimum 2 day commitment per week
    • Highly collaborative, proactive and positive work style with a follow-through attitude.
    • Analytical and forward thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Independent worker

    This internship may be put towards college credit, but is unpaid.

  • Project Management Intern (ongoing)

    Operation Warm is looking for an outgoing, organized and creative individual, wanting to make a difference in the world by helping others!

    We’re a national nonprofit organization with a simple mission – to provide brand new coats to children in need across the country. This spring, we are seeking an intern to join our Projects & Events team for 2 – 3 days a week.

    The Operation Warm Project Management internship will allow you to immerse yourself into the nonprofit culture, working alongside various departments and team members to give you a well-rounded experience.

    This intern will report to the Projects & Events Manager and assist both the Project Management and Marketing team to facilitate and assist in the completion of internal project requests. Projects are broad and range from research to graphic design.

    Qualifications:

    • Pursuing Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree
    • Minimum 2 day commitment per week
    • Must be able to commute to our Chadds Ford Headquarters

    Skills:

    • Ability to multi-task
    • Basic understanding of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign
    • Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
    • Computer savvy
    • Ability to meet deadlines
    • Works well in both team and individual environments
