Operation Warm and Morgan Stanley Provide Kids with New Coats – NYC

Operation Warm and Morgan Stanley partnered to provide warm, colorful coats to New York City children in need.

On Monday, Dec. 18, employees from Morgan Stanley visited PS 191 Elementary School in NYC to provide coats to kids in need with the help of Operation Warm.

“Each one of the kids, there was a special moment,” Derek McNeil, Morgan Stanley, said. “I had one young man say to me, this is like Christmas, this is like when I got my backpack, so we take things for granted, little things for granted but something as simple as a coat or a backpack means a whole lot.”

“Each of the kids that have come through have been shocked that they’re actually getting a free coat,” Vanessa Howe, Morgan Stanley, said. “One of the little boys said ‘This is my coat? This is my coat to take home? Really?’ And I said ‘Yes, that’s yours.’ And he said ‘Forever? Really?’ And I said ‘Yes, forever.’ And he was just ecstatic.”
