IGS Energy Delivers the Gift of Warmth to Columbus

SHARE:

IGS Energy partnered with Operation Warm this past season to provide warmth and happiness to children in need in Columbus, OH.  IGS employees visited the elementary school that is the feeder for the homeless shelter and the domestic violence shelters in their area, and delivered coats to almost 350 children.  The principal said, “In a community where many students have never had a new coat, a fitting coat, a coat just for them, where hoodies are too often the not-heavy-enough norm, [the employee volunteers] provide not just a coat, but what a coat can represent–an ability to come to school on a really cold day, an ability to get breakfast and lunch when it’s really cold outside, an ability to stay focused on a future and learning and potential when it can be easy to stay at home because it’s too cold to come to school with just a hoodie.”
