Employee Volunteering Strengthens Communities, Boosts Morale

By Lauren Holloway, Public Relations/Media Coordinator at Operation Warm

Would making a difference in the general community help increase morale in your work community?

Since 1998, Operation Warm has worked with several companies through the employee volunteer program to do just that – strengthen all communities.

Our organization believes the gift of a brand new winter coat can help a child’s life by empowering them with greater self-confidence, while also fostering school attendance and outdoor play. Furthermore, we think employers and employees can be a vital part of the solution.

Operation Warm offers the opportunity for brands, organizations and institutions to achieve the goal of connecting every child in need in America with a brand new winter coat in various communities around the United States.

Many employers and employees see our programs as an investment in team-building and brand reputation. In fact, a recent study found 74% of employees say their job is more fulfilling when they are provided with opportunities to make a positive impact on social and environmental issues.

Operation Warm’s full service employee volunteer package provides employees an opportunity to have a meaningful impact in the life of a child and positively contribute to the local community. Our coat giving events are a joyful and memorable experience for every volunteer and child.

Lastly, we’ve seen our employee volunteer program help companies build trust with the public – consumers tend to trust brands and companies that give back. In fact, a recent study found 84% of its respondents believe brands have the power to make the world a better place.

Your Next Volunteer Experience

  • We’ll create a custom volunteer event to fit your employee’s schedule: location, date, and time of day
  • Your team will meet at the school and help create a fun atmosphere for the children: coats, signs, music, props.
  • Child-by-child, smile-by-smile, coat-by-coat – we’ll rewrite the script on childhood poverty for the winter
  • Everyone will leave with a feeling of warmth and a smile
