Easton Firefighters Reflect On Their Coats For Kids Event
‘On Oct. 29 my fellow firefighters and I distributed more than 120 brand new American-made coats to kids in need in the Paxinosa Elementary School in Easton. Beyond warmth, we believe new coats inspire higher self-esteem, keep children in school throughout the winter months and free up tight family resources which can help create a better future.
The event would not have been possible without the support of local businesses. Thanks to Two Rivers Brewing Co. and Rivals Sports Bar and Night Club for hosting fundraising events. American Printing Unlimited helped us out with our printing needs. Logos and T-shirts donated their services. Easton Computer and Electronics and IRCO Community Federal Credit Union gave sizable donations. The Easton Fraternal Order of Police was very supportive.
We are not done. We are already starting to work on supplying even more coats next year. To donate go to https://donate.operationwarm.org/page/contribute/easton or search Facebook for “Easton Firefighters Coats for Kids.” A heartfelt thank you to all who have helped keep kids in our community warm!’
