5 Reasons Why Volunteering with Operation Warm is a Winner
“Volunteering with Operation Warm is a Winner,” says Julie D’Esposito, National Volunteer and Event Manager at Operation Warm.
All Operation Warm volunteers get great support from the organization. “We know how important our volunteers are to our mission of putting brand new coats on children in need,” she says. “We do everything we can to make sure they have a great volunteer experience, while helping their communities.”
Julie shares some more reasons why volunteering with Operation Warm is a winner.
Uplifting and Inspiring Events
“The events are extremely uplifting and bring joy to everyone involved,” Julie says. “It is a unique opportunity to be able to see the immediate happiness on a child’s face when you give a brand new coat. Every event is a joyful celebration, and I’ve seen first-hand how much our volunteers enjoy it.”
Low Effort and High Impact
“Volunteering with Operation Warm requires low effort but the impact is extremely high to the children, schools and communities,” she says. “The impact of a brand new coat is great.”
A Unique Opportunity
“No other volunteers do what ours do,” she says. “This is a unique, one-of-a-kind opportunity. You are helping the children, and you get to meet the children, all while helping them pick out a brand new colorful coat they will treasure.”
“One of the toughest things about volunteering can be making sure it fits your schedule,” she says. “The great thing about volunteering with Operation Warm is that you decide if you want this opportunity to be long term or short term; it’s up to you and what works with your schedule!”
Local Event, National Impact
“Operation Warm is a national nonprofit with local impact,” she says. “Our volunteers get to give back to those in their own or nearby communities. At the same time, they know they are helping a strong national organization reach more children in need all over the country.”
