Woodinville Rotary Operation Warm Coats 2018

For 15 years, the Rotary Club of Woodinville has partnered with Operation Warm to provide brand new warm coats to less fortunate Northshore school children to provide warmth in the winter, but also to provide a measure of self-esteem, which researchers have determined will lead to improved academic success. Through the years, Woodinville Rotary has distributed more than 9,000 Operation Warm coats at the Rotary-sponsored Santa breakfast held in early December.

This year the Rotaract Club at UW Bothell also distributed new DIY scarves and Bombas socks to children at the event, along with handmade quilts, donated by Gathering Fabric Quilt Shop.

This event was the 9th stop on Operation Warm’s 3 Millionth Coat Tour towards our goal of serving 3 million kids across North America by winter.
