Nordstrom Volunteer Day NYC 2018
On Monday, November 19th, Nordstrom volunteers visited Brighter Choice Community School in Brooklyn to provide brand new Operation Warm coats to every child in the school. Brighter Choice Community School has 82% of its students living in need.
Additionally, Nordstrom will be providing funding to give 1,000 coats to children living in transitional housing across New York City. More than 114,000 children were identified as homeless in the 2017-2018 school year. This effort is a way for Nordstrom and Operation Warm to do their part in helping these children through the winter.
“It’s important to us at Nordstrom that we give back to the communities in which we serve. This fall, we’re proud to partner with Operation Warm to outfit 1,500 New York City children in need with brand new winter coats. Hopefully, their holiday season will be a little warmer.”
