Our coats are a catalyst for education, outreach and positive social change. These efforts offer an exponential and lasting contribution to the families we serve. Our coats are high quality, colorful and stylish. The gift of a new winter coat raises children’s self esteem by giving them something NEW that is their own. Having something BRAND NEW is a rare treat for many children. It boosts their confidence and challenges negative perceptions surrounding their economic status.
The coats, (as seen here) are designed for maximum warmth and durability, but also with details and styling that are “kid friendly” (including deep pockets, detachable hoods and more), with new colors for these coats selected each season. All materials are inspected to ensure they meet Operation Warm’s standards and most importantly, are sturdy and warm.
Our coats are pre-packaged in boxes of six, based upon the size and gender and are shipped as requested by the organizations we serve. The boxes also contain an assortment of colors so that children who receive our gift of warmth are happy with their various colors. One of the coat’s most popular features is a permanent name tag where the child’s name can be written, serving as a happy reminder that the coat is indeed “mine.”
