Organizations Looking to Recive Coats
Operation Warm collaborates with a number of nonprofits, schools and city agencies across the country to provide new winter coats to children living in poverty. One of our founding principles is our commitment to ensuring funds remain in the communities where they are raised, ensuring the children in your community who need them most, receive new coats. In many instances, donors do not designate gifts to specific organizations or communities, so Operation Warm has the discretion to select both the organizations and neediest communities to bring the gift of warmth.
However, if you are integral to a community where we have not raised funds, there are also a number of ways in which organizations of any size can work with us:
1. Identify potential funding partners that support you. Groups may include local rotary clubs, university students, or a group of friends and families committed to helping underserved children. For fundraising ideas download here.
2. In some situations, we can work with you and your local funders, (foundations, corporations, organizations) to raise the money to provide coats in your community. We have helped with funding commitments in support of many school districts, housing authorities, and Salvation Army’s across the country, and we can work with you, too!
To assist your own organizations raise money to pay for, or subsidize the cost of coats that you will distribute locally, we are happy to provide assistance and support.
This can include:
- Creation of an exciting, interactive and dedicated fundraising page
- Access to press release templates and other background information that can be used to support your effort.
It is Operation Warm’s belief that the stronger our partnerships, the more successful our mission! We greatly value every unique partnership and strive to make them as successful and impactful as possible.
There is no formal application process to become an Operation Warm partner. Every community is different and the work of our partners vary from city to city. Generally speaking, we look to work with organizations that serve large volumes of families in need and have a effecient methods in place to identify children most in need.
