This year, Operation Warm is working with community broadcast partners to help more children than ever before! By partnering with radio stations all over the country, Operation Warm will assist our one-millionth child this winter. By donating airtime and their community expertise, these radio stations are helping us reach low income families in their local communities. Please help us reach as many children as possible!
Developing a coat program using broadcast medium is relatively simple: raise money and distribute coats to children in need. Operation Warm will serve as support for the entire process.
Raising Money
Through a radio campaign that can last anywhere from 1 week to 60 days, your listeners and supporters are a great resource for raising funds to provide new winter coats to U.S. children in need. It has been our experience that the most successful broadcast campaigns begin in early fall and can run through the duration of the winter.
Operation Warm’s marketing team will provide any materials necessary to encourage successful promotion of an on-air campaign such as:
- Key talking points
- Fact Sheets
- FAQs
- Testimonials/touching stories to share on air with your listening audience
- Custom marketing materials
We are also glad to do on-air interviews by a professional Operation Warm spokesperson.
Next, getting new winter coats to kids:
Operation Warm will provide helpful guidelines for identifying a beneficiary organization and will support you along the way. We will assist you in finding a community based groups in your listening area, and you know where the most good would be done, Operation Warm will work with you to create an allocation of coats and will ship them to a location of your choice on a preferred date. We have tremendous logistics experience putting together orders that meet the needs of your group through variety in styles and colors, preventing further stigmatization to children living in poverty..
