Water Curriculum
This is our first curriculum which introduces the concept of sustainability to elementary school children in need by teaching them about water.
The program is full of interesting and understandable ideas, concepts and facts, all built around the notion of preserving that precious commodity, water. For example, some interesting facts: even though 71% of the globe is covered with water only 1 % of the earth’s water is available to humans, Americans use about 400 gallons of water a day, an inch of rain deposits 27,000 gallons of water on an acre of land and agriculture uses about 70% of all fresh water. After students learn about water they begin to discuss and understand why we have water shortages and how they can take small actions that will help conserve water. It's fun, easy to understand and, in an interesting way, will help children begin to grasp the importance of the stewardship of our planet.
