At Operation Warm, we are working to earn your trust and share our passion - helping to Give the Gift of Warmth, providing new winter coats to children in need. Operation Warm has recently celebrated its 10-year anniversary. We have the financial strength, established programs, strategic partners, qualified employees, and many, many children that need our help, in your community!
We appreciate your interest in Operation Warm and understand that selecting a charity partner is an important decision. We invite you to browse our website and learn more about the programs we have in place to reach children, providing new winter coats to the neediest of children. We select only high quality merchandise, with attention to detail such as high thread counts, professional stitching, and warm, washable fill. We are able to offer a variety of styles, colors and sizes so that needy children can receive a coat that they feel great about. Due to our large base of loyal donors, we are able to buy in large quantities, keeping our costs down, and thereby enabling us to provide more coats each year. We also engage in other philanthropic endeavors, including making contributions to other charitable organizations in areas served by Operation Warm. Unlike for-profit organizations, our proceeds are rolled into the purchase of additional coats for needy children and the support of our charitable giving program, rather than being distributed to shareholders.
Financially, we maintain a strong cash position, to ensure we have funding for the next year's coat distribution and operating needs. Especially in slower economic times, we understand that it is important to carefully manage our operations, remaining debt-free and growing responsibly. Each year, our financial statements are audited. Our Board of Trustees and management have appropriate policies in place and oversight to ensure compliance. Our corporate filings are available for inspection, upon request.
