OUR GREEN INITIATIVESWho We Are
Like many organizations, we have evolved to expand our programs, our reach, and our impact. By working with a wide range of organizations, we now distribute new winter coats to children in 26 states. We provide coats to other nonprofits, so they can expand the number of children they serve. We have developed a college and university community service program and created an elementary school curriculum on sustainability, that is tied to our new recycled coat program. Underlying all of this is our continued focus on helping children in need.
We are one of the largest nonprofit organizations distributing new winter coats in the United States. Operation Warm is committed to excellence by providing new, high quality coats to children who cannot afford them. These coats provide more than just warmth. They allow children to attend school, improve their self-esteem, and allow their families to spend money on other critical essentials such as food, rent and fuel. We are working with a wide range of people and organizations all over the country to foster positive social change.
